Provider FAQs

Q: How do I register to be a Mowjob service provider and earn income?

Simply download the Free Mowjob App from the Apple App Store or on Google Play. Once you have downloaded the App be sure to complete all of the steps in the Provider Registration process. You can register through a Google account or Facebook account or you can create an email account. You will then be asked if you would like to receive services or if you would like to provide services. Once you confirm that you would like to provide service you will be contacted by a Mowjob representative who will review quality standards, your availability, equipment to be used and verify the information you have provided.

Q: How much will I be paid to cut a lawn?

A: Once you are approved as a provider it will be up to you to decide how much to charge based on the customer requests that are sent to you. Customers will indicate the size of their lawn and what is to be done with the grass clippings. All providers have the opportunity to submit a bid on jobs in their job cue. Once you submit your bid it cannot be changed and it will be up to the customer to select the bid they prefer. If your bid is selected you will be required to upload a photo upon completion of the job. You will be paid 80 percent of the cost of the job and 20 percent will be retained by Mowjob for administrative costs, including facilitating and coordinating jobs, data analytics, advertising and ensuring customer and provider support services are available.

Q: When will I be paid?

A: You will be paid weekly for work completed in the previous week. To be paid, you must submit a photo to MowJob for each job upon completion. Funds will be directly deposited into your bank account. It is your obligation to ensure that all banking information provided to MowJob is accurate.

Q: How do I accept lawn cutting jobs?

A: It will be up to the customer to accept your bid. The customer will select from a list of available bids and if your bid is accepted the job will appear in your job cue. You will have 3 hours to complete the job unless it is a scheduled request.

Q: What if I bid on a job, a customer accepts my bid and I do not show up to complete the work?

A: If you bid on a job and do not complete it, you are required to upload a photo. For example, the photo must show that the customer did not size the lawn properly, or that there was an obstruction on the lawn and the work could not be completed. If you choose to cancel the job without uploading a photo, you will be charged 30% of the value of the job. If this happens multiple times, you will be removed from using the App. It is essential that if you bid on a job, and that job is accepted by a customer, that you complete the job within 3 hours.

Q: Can I put the grass clippings wherever I would like?

A: The customer will be required to indicate if the grass clippings can: 1) remain on the lawn; 2) are required to be bagged but can be dumped on-site; or 3) must be collected and removed. Please ensure you take a positive customer service approach and put the grass clippings where the customer requests. Also please ensure you review the note section in the job request to ensure you follow any additional instructions. You will have access to all information in the customer request prior to submitting a bid.

Q: How much time do I have to complete the job?

A: If an on-demand request is made, you will be required to complete the job and submit a photo to MowJob within 3 hours of the customer accepting your bid. Please ensure that you review the customer request thoroughly, as well as the note section of the request to ensure you follow any additional instructions. You will have access to all information in the customer request prior to submitting a bid.

Q: What if a customer provides inaccurate information?

A: If a customer does not provide accurate information with regard to their lawn size or there are obstructions that may prevent grass cutting or there is any other issue that makes it unreasonable to complete the job, you may reject the request even after the customer has accepted your bid. You will not be paid for any cancelled job.
